Pink Plates

Samantha Clark has invited women from the restaurant world to unite for her initiative “Pink Plates”. Sam, a breast cancer survivor herself, is collaborating with Breast Cancer Care to support women facing breast cancer, and their families.

Every 10 minutes a woman is told she has breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care brings women together through their vital services and offers them a life-line. They believe that when women stand together they are better cared for, better informed and stronger.

Pink Plates will run for two months, and will launch with a dinner on Monday 8th May hosted by Sam at Moro,  featuring a set menu curated and cooked by an incredible line-up of top female chefs alongside Sam, including Thomasina Miers, Skye Gyngell, Angela Hartnett, Margot Henderson and Marianna Leivaditaki.

Sam has also reached out to female restaurateurs and chefs nationwide to stand together by taking part in the wider two-month long initiative, which will run from Monday 8th May until Friday 30th June, in which restaurants will offer diners the opportunity to add an additional £1 to their bill to help raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

Restaurants that are part of the Pink Plates initiative are:

Honey & Co will be hosting the closing dinner on Sunday 2nd July at Honey & Smoke, their grill restaurant on Great Portland St, from 6-9pm.

There’ll also be a live band and some of the wonderful chefs who took part in this unique two-month-long fundraiser will drop by as well.

Tickets are £50pp, and all profits from the evening will go to Breast Cancer Care.
